Most website redesigns cost between £800 and £3,000 for a small business in the UK and take 2–4 weeks from first call to launch. Every project is quoted as a fixed price before I start — no hourly billing, no surprise invoices, and a free mockup so you see the direction before you pay anything.

Full redesign £800–£3,000

Ecommerce & larger rebuilds Quoted
WooCommerce stores, membership areas and sites with integrations are quoted individually after I've looked at what you have. Still a fixed price before I start.

A website rebuild is not the same as a redesign that only changes the skin. Here is what my web redesign services actually involve, in order.
First
Audit what you already have
Before anything is rebuilt I look at what's ranking, what's converting and what's quietly broken. A website rebuild that throws away working pages is a step backwards.
Then
Migrate without losing rankings
Content moves across with 301 redirects mapped page by page. This is the part most website revamp projects get wrong, and it's why rebuilt sites often lose traffic.
After that
Rebuild on WordPress you own
No monthly platform licence, no proprietary builder. You own the site outright and can edit it yourself afterwards.

My website redesign process
I believe in taking a comprehensive approach to website development. I have developed a six-step process that ensures each project is executed with precision and attention to detail.
First
Consultation
During the initial consultation, I'll discuss the project's requirements and objectives with you, as well as any design preferences or ideas. From here I will build you a free homepage mockup which shows you how the website could look.
Then
Planning and design
If you're happy with the mockup and decide you'd like to give me the go-ahead, I'll start planning and designing the rest of your new site. This includes creating a sitemap, wireframing page layouts and refining the visual design. Website redevelopment is the right call when your current site is slow, hard to edit or losing rankings.
Next
Development
Now that I've planned and designed the new site, I'll begin building out the structure of your site using WordPress 99% of the time along with any CSS, HTML or JavaScript that is needed. I also make sure each website is mobile-friendly and optimised for search engine visibility.
After that
Testing and quality assurance
Once development has been completed, I run a rigorous testing process to make sure all features are working properly. At this stage I'll also take steps to optimise the website's loading speed across multiple browsers and platforms using tools such as GTmetrix and PageSpeed Insights by Google.
Nearly there
Hand over
Once you're happy with the website, I'll set it live and hand it over to you — but don't worry, my support doesn't stop there. There's a three-week window of free website updates which allows you to iron out any issues or make any small changes.

Teaching you how to use the website
I get asked by a lot of my clients, am I able to make website updates myself? The answer is yes, absolutely. I build every website with easy-to-use editors that I like my clients to get hands-on with, which is why I offer training that ensures you can make any changes you wish once the site is built. Most redesigns take 2–4 weeks from our first call to launch. Larger rebuilds with e-commerce, custom features or branding can take 4–8 weeks. I'll give you a clear timeline upfront before I start.
What's the difference between a website redesign and a website rebuild?
A redesign can mean nothing more than a new skin over the same tired foundations. A rebuild replaces the foundations too — new structure, new templates, clean code, faster hosting. My website rebuild services do both at once, which is why the finished site is quicker as well as better looking.
Can you move my site off Wix, Squarespace or Shopify?
Yes, and it's one of the most common website revamp jobs I take on. I recreate and improve your existing design on WordPress, migrate your content and products across, and map redirects from every old URL so your search rankings survive the move. You end up owning the site outright with no monthly platform licence.
Will my redesigned website work properly on mobile?
Yes. Every website I redesign is fully responsive and tested across devices — iPhone, Android, tablet and desktop. A modern, mobile-first redesign is essential for a seamless experience, and Google treats it as a ranking requirement rather than a nice-to-have.
Can I update the new site myself after launch?
Yes. I rebuild on WordPress with an easy-to-use editor, and I train you on it during handover. Change your text, swap photos, add a page or update your phone number without calling me. There's also a three-week window of free updates after launch for anything you'd rather I handled.
Do you redesign WooCommerce shops and online stores?
I do. If your shop has outgrown its current setup, I redesign and rebuild WooCommerce stores on WordPress with a custom layout built around your products and your customers. Ecommerce rebuilds are quoted individually once I've seen what you have, but it's still a fixed price before I start.
What happens to my hosting and support after the redesign?
That's up to you. I offer fully managed hosting and maintenance from £10 a month — backups, security updates, plugin and theme updates — or I can hand the finished site over to your existing host. Nothing about the redesign locks you to me afterwards.
Do you only redesign websites for businesses in Sussex?
