I’ve studied the websites of leading estate agents across Sussex and the UK. Here’s what separates the agencies that generate valuations online from the ones that rely entirely on portal traffic:
Property portal feeds that actually work. Your Rightmove, Zoopla, and OnTheMarket listings need to appear on your own website automatically, with full details, professional photography, floor plans, and EPC ratings. If your website shows stale listings or broken feeds, vendors lose confidence immediately.
Instant valuation tools front and centre. Every page should make it easy for a vendor to request a free valuation. Whether it’s an instant online estimate or a booking form for a market appraisal, this is the primary conversion action on any estate agent website.
Area guides that demonstrate local expertise. Dedicated pages for each area you cover — local schools, transport links, average sold prices, lifestyle amenities. This builds trust with vendors and ranks for valuable “[location] estate agent” searches.
Professional photography and virtual tours. High-resolution imagery, Matterport 3D tours, drone photography, and video walkthroughs embedded directly into listings. Buyers expect this in 2026. Agents who deliver it on their own website — not just on Rightmove — stand out.
Branch pages with team profiles. Individual pages for each office with opening hours, Google Maps, and staff profiles. Vendors want to know who they’re dealing with before they invite you into their home.
Mortgage calculator and stamp duty tools. Interactive tools that keep visitors on your site longer, reduce bounce rate, and position your agency as genuinely helpful rather than just transactional.
ARLA, NAEA, and Propertymark badges. Accreditation logos displayed prominently signal trust and compliance with industry standards.
Every estate agent website I build includes all of these elements as standard. Want to see what this looks like in practice? Check out the examples below.
