I’ve built websites for coaches, therapists, and service-based businesses across Sussex and the UK. Here’s what separates the coaching websites that generate client enquiries from the ones that sit there doing nothing:
A clear, specific headline that speaks to your ideal client. “I help busy professionals overcome burnout” is infinitely better than “Welcome to my coaching practice.” Your homepage has about three seconds to convince someone they’re in the right place. A vague headline wastes that opportunity. Get specific about who you help and the transformation you deliver.
Professional photography that builds trust. Coaching is deeply personal — people need to see you and feel a connection before they’ll book a call. A professional headshot and lifestyle photos of you in your element (whether that’s in a coaching session, on a podcast, or at an event) build trust faster than stock images ever will.
Social proof that does the heavy lifting. Client testimonials and transformation stories are the most powerful content on any coaching website. Not generic “great coach” quotes — detailed testimonials that describe the problem, the coaching experience, and the outcome. Video testimonials are even better. I build dedicated testimonial sections and can integrate your Google reviews directly onto your site.
A clear path to booking. Every page on your coaching website should make it obvious what the next step is. Discovery call booking, programme sign-up, email list opt-in — there should always be a clear call to action. I see too many coaching websites where the only way to get in touch is a buried contact form. Your booking link should be impossible to miss.
Service pages that sell without being pushy. Each coaching service — one-to-one coaching, group programmes, corporate packages, workshops — deserves its own page. Explain who it’s for, what’s included, the outcomes clients can expect, pricing guidance, and a booking link. This also helps with SEO because each page targets different search terms.
A lead magnet that builds your list. Most visitors won’t book a call on their first visit. Give them a reason to stay connected — a free guide, a quiz, a mini-course, a checklist. I’ll integrate your lead magnet with your email marketing platform (Mailchimp, ConvertKit, MailerLite, ActiveCampaign) so you can nurture leads into paying clients over time.
Content that demonstrates your expertise. A blog or podcast section positions you as an authority in your coaching niche. Regular content also helps with SEO — each article is another opportunity to rank on Google for terms your ideal clients are searching for. I’ll set up your blog with proper categories, author bio, and SEO-friendly structure.
Every coaching website I build includes all of these elements as standard. Want to see what this looks like in practice? View my portfolio.
