Chiropractor Website Design
I’m Spencer, a freelance web designer in Brighton. I build WordPress websites for chiropractic clinics — sites built around online booking, “chiropractor near me” search and the condition pages that actually bring new patients in.
You’re a statutorily regulated healthcare professional and your website has to behave like one: GCC registration shown properly, claims written carefully, and a first impression that reassures a nervous patient rather than impressing another clinician.
Single-handed practice or multi-practitioner clinic — the quote is fixed before I start.
Talk it through →Your visitor is in pain and slightly wary
Most people land on a chiropractor’s website because their back has gone, they’ve searched “chiropractor near me” on a phone, and they’re choosing between three clinics in about ninety seconds — having never seen a chiropractor before.
So the site’s job is reassurance, not clinical vocabulary. What happens at a first appointment. What it costs. Who they’ll see. Whether they can book without ringing up and explaining themselves. Get those four obvious and the rest can take its time.
A plain-English walkthrough of a first appointment
Prices on the page, not “contact us for a quote”
Your General Chiropractic Council registration, visible and verifiable
Booking that works one-handed on a phone, out of hours
Real photos of the clinic and the people in it
Parking, access and opening hours — the details that decide it
What a chiropractic website has to get right
Six things separate a clinic site that fills the diary from one that just sits there looking tidy.
Online booking, above everything else
The single biggest conversion lever on a chiropractic site. A visible “Book online” button in the header, repeated at the end of every condition page, wired to whatever diary you already run. Evenings and weekends are when people book — exactly when nobody’s on the phone.
Condition pages as the SEO engine
Nobody searches “chiropractic care”. They search lower back pain, sciatica, neck pain, headaches, trapped nerve. A page for each — what it feels like, what you’d assess, what a course of care involves — is what earns rankings. One “Treatments” page listing everything ranks for nothing.
The local map pack
“Chiropractor near me” is decided in the map results, not the blue links. That means a Google Business Profile matching the site exactly, an address and phone number identical everywhere they appear, and LocalBusiness structured data so Google can read it without guessing.
Practitioner bios that feel like people
Patients pick a person, not a clinic. Each chiropractor gets a proper page: photo, GCC registration number, where they qualified, something human. In a multi-practitioner clinic these quietly become the most-visited pages on the site.
Pricing on the page
Initial consultation, follow-up, any block or family pricing — written out. Hiding fees loses the enquiry from anyone price-checking three clinics. Say what the first appointment includes and how long it runs, so the number has context.
New-patient offers, handled properly
A reduced initial assessment works, but the terms need to be visible: what’s included, how long it lasts, whether it’s new patients only. Present it as a clear first step, not a countdown-timer discount — the tone that sells a mattress will lose you a patient.
All six go into every clinic site I build, as standard.

This genuinely constrains what can go on the page, and most web designers get it wrong.
Claims have to be careful
Chiropractic is a statutorily regulated profession in the UK, and the General Chiropractic Council’s advertising guidance means you cannot say whatever you like about what treatment achieves. Claims need to be supportable, and the confident promises that work fine on a plumber’s website are exactly what gets a chiropractor a complaint.
I flag this at the quote stage rather than building something you have to strip back later. In practice it means describing what happens at an appointment, instead of promising an outcome.
Reviews and testimonials
Reviews are still one of your strongest assets — a nervous first-timer reads them before anything else. But a testimonial cannot be used to make a claim you couldn’t make yourself, which rules out the glowing quote naming a condition that was supposedly cured.
So I build review sections that lean on the experience — how the appointment was explained, how the clinic felt. Pulled live from your Google Business Profile, which feeds the map pack too.
Registration as a trust signal
“Chiropractor” is a protected title and every practitioner in your clinic is on the GCC register. Most clinic websites bury that, which is a waste — it’s the clearest signal you have that the person a patient is about to see is qualified and accountable.
- GCC registration numbers on each practitioner bio
- Qualifications and association memberships stated plainly
- Complaints, consent and privacy information easy to find
- Consistent details across site, profile and directory listings
Built on WordPress, owned by you
I’ve worked with WordPress for over ten years and every clinic site I build runs on it. Add a practitioner, change your fees or write a new condition page yourself, and no platform holds the site hostage if you ever move on.
Full training at handover. After that, hosting and care plans are there if you want them and optional if you don’t.
What a chiropractor website costs
Builds start from £800. Most clinic websites land between £800 and £3,000, depending on how many condition pages and practitioner bios you need and how deep the booking integration goes.
Larger projects — a multi-site clinic group, a full content library, a migration from an old platform — usually sit in the £2,000 to £5,000+ range.
Every project gets a fixed quote upfront: no hourly billing, and a free mockup before you commit anything.
Separate, optional and only if you want them: hosting from £10/month, support and care plans from £30/month, and SEO retainers from £250/month.

How the build runs
Four stages, and you deal with me at every one — I’m the person who builds it.
A proper conversation
Where patients come from now, which complaints you see most, what diary software you’re on, and who you’re up against locally.
Quote and mockup
A fixed price and a free homepage mockup, so you can see the direction and the tone before committing anything.
Build and review
Design, copy, booking, condition pages, local search setup. You review as it goes rather than seeing it all at the end.
Launch and training
Live, tested on real phones, plus a session on editing fees, hours and bios yourself. The clinic owns the site outright.

Get a free quoteCan you connect the site to my booking system?
Yes — usually the first thing I set up. Whether you run Cliniko, Jane, Pabau or something else, I’ll embed the booking flow so patients stay on your site rather than being bounced to a page that looks nothing like it. If you’d rather bookings came through reception, I’ll build a short request form instead and make it just as prominent.
How many condition pages do I actually need?
Start with four or five covering what you genuinely see most — usually lower back pain, sciatica, neck pain and headaches — and add over time. Each should be a real page with substance, not two paragraphs. Five good pages beat fifteen thin ones, and thin pages are what most clinic sites are already full of.
Will you write the copy, given the GCC rules?
Yes, I’ll draft it — written to stay inside the GCC’s advertising guidance from the start, describing your assessment and approach rather than promising results. You review every word before it goes live. You’re the clinician, the claims on your site are your responsibility, so nothing gets published that you haven’t read and agreed.
How do I rank for “chiropractor near me”?
Those searches are answered by the map pack, so the work splits between your Google Business Profile and your site. Consistent name, address and phone number everywhere; LocalBusiness structured data; a useful page for each town you serve; a steady flow of reviews. I set that up at build, and if you want it pushed harder afterwards, that’s what an SEO retainer is for.
Do you only work with clinics in Sussex?
No. My office is in Brighton and I work with clinics across the UK — calls and email mean location has never been a problem. You can see the range in my portfolio.
Do you work with other healthcare practices?
I do. Alongside chiropractors I build sites for medical practices and therapists, and the same principles carry across: regulated claims, booking that works, a tone that reassures. If you share a building with osteopaths or physios, one site can carry all of you without feeling generic.
Am I dealing with an agency?
No — I’m one person. I’ve built over 100 WordPress websites, worked directly with more than 55 businesses, and picked up 51 five-star reviews doing it this way. I’m also a former British 800m Champion, which is relevant only in that I’m comfortable with long, unglamorous work that pays off later. You brief me, I build it, you ring me.
