Bringing a designer’s vision to life for a Mole Valley foundation
The Michael and Barbara Bell Foundation funds individuals and organisations helping people of all ages access sport across Mole Valley, Reigate and Banstead. It’s the kind of local charity that makes a real difference — connecting funding with grassroots sports programmes in the Surrey community.
Sabrina, a graphic designer, approached me because she’d been working with Barbara and Michael on the designs but needed someone to build them properly. The creative direction was already in place — my job was to bring it to life on WordPress.
The brief
This was a development project with a quick turnaround. Sabrina had the designs ready, the foundation knew what they wanted, and they needed it built efficiently without compromising on quality.
The site needed to clearly communicate what the foundation does, who can apply for funding, and the history behind Barbara and Michael’s work in the Mole Valley, Reigate and Banstead areas.
The build
I turned the project around in about 10 days — from initial designs to all pages complete. When the design work is already done and the client knows what they want, there’s no reason to drag things out.
Pages and structure
The site includes everything a foundation like this needs: clear information about funding opportunities, who’s eligible, how to apply, and the story behind the foundation. Visitors can quickly understand what’s on offer and whether it’s relevant to them.

WordPress CMS
Built on WordPress so the team can manage content themselves — updating funding information, adding news, keeping the site current without needing developer support.
The result
A clean, professional site that serves the local sports community in Surrey. It communicates clearly what the foundation does and makes it straightforward for people to apply for funding.
