Free website mockup service
A real design of your homepage β your business, your content, your colours β so you can see what Iβd actually do before you commit to anything.
Iβm Spencer, a freelance web designer based in Brighton. Fill in the form, tell me your website address and one sentence about what you want the site to do, and Iβll design your homepage and send you a link. Thereβs nothing to pay and nothing to sign.

Spencer & Yogi, Podium DesignIt works whether you're starting from nothing or you've already got a site that's looking tired β in that case it's a website redesign rather than a new build, and the mockup shows you the new direction before you decide anything.
Start your mockup βWhat the free mockup actually is
It isn't a template preview, an automated generator, or a screenshot of somebody else's website with your logo pasted on top. It's a homepage designed for your business, laid out with your content, and sent to you as a link you can open on any device.
Three things you get, and nothing you have to give back:
The homepage is the one I design free, because that's where the design direction gets decided β the colours, the typography, the structure, the tone. Once you've seen it, you know exactly what the rest of the site would look like.
Why I do this for free
Because choosing a web designer from a portfolio is guesswork.
Portfolios show other people's businesses
Every designer's portfolio shows their best work for other people, in other industries, often years ago. None of it tells you what your site would look like.
So you pay a deposit to find out
So you end up paying a deposit to find out β and if you don't like the direction, you're already committed. That's a bad way to start a project, for both of us.
A mockup removes the guesswork
A mockup removes that. You see the actual design for your actual business, then decide. If you don't like it you've lost nothing, and I've lost a few hours β a fair trade for not starting a project neither of us would enjoy.
I'd rather spend a few hours designing something you can judge than spend a fortnight on a build you were never going to be happy with. It's the same reason every quote I give is a fixed price rather than an hourly estimate.
Request your mockupWhat I need from you
Very little, and you don't need anything prepared. No brief to write, no questionnaire.
Your website address
Or just your business name if you haven't got a site yet. That's usually enough for me to work out what you do, who you sell to, and what your competitors look like.
What you want it to do
One sentence. More enquiries, online bookings, sell products, look credible to bigger clients. That single line changes the whole layout, so it's the most useful thing you can tell me.
Two or three sites you like
Optional. If you haven't got any, I'll suggest a direction. They don't have to be in your industry β often the useful ones aren't.
And what happens after
I send the link within a couple of working days. If you want to go ahead, I quote a fixed price for the full build β from Β£600 for a three-page site, priced per page so you can see exactly what you're paying for. The mockup becomes the starting point, so nothing is wasted.
How the free mockup works
Four stages, from filling in the form to a design you can keep whatever you decide.
You fill in the form
Name, email, your website address or business name, and a sentence about what you want the site to do. It takes about a minute and there's nothing to prepare beforehand.
I design your homepage
I look at what you do and who you're selling to, then design a homepage around it β your colours, your services, your words. I design it myself; there's no generator involved.
You get a link
Usually within two working days. Open it on your phone, show it to a business partner, or leave it a month. There's no expiry date and no chasing from me.
You decide
If you like it, I quote a fixed price for the full WordPress build and the mockup becomes page one. If you don't, that's genuinely the end of it.
Common questions about the free mockup
Still unsure about something? Ask me directly β I answer every enquiry personally.
Get my free mockupIs there really no catch?
No. You get a design of your homepage and you owe me nothing.
How long does it take?
Usually two working days, sometimes a bit longer if I'm mid-build on something.
Do I have to use WordPress?
Almost everything I build is WordPress, and the mockup is designed with that in mind. It means you own the site outright, you can edit it yourself, and you're not renting it monthly from a platform.
Can you mock up more than the homepage?
The free one is the homepage, because that's where the design direction is decided. Inner pages come as part of the build.
What if I already have a designer?
Then you probably don't need this. It's for people who are still deciding.
Are you actually going to design it, or is it automated?
I design it. There's no generator behind this β which is also why it takes a couple of days rather than thirty seconds.
Do you only work with businesses in Sussex?
No. I'm based in Brighton, Sussex, but I work with businesses across the UK. Everything happens over email and video calls, so where you are makes no difference to the mockup or the build.
Websites I've built
A few of the projects in my portfolio. Every one is a custom WordPress build, owned outright by the client.
